Operation System Support (OSS) Engineer

JOB ROLES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:-
Plans and executes technical tasks according to given tasks, along with existing processes and instructions. Work with the responsibility to customer problems directly or through internal customer interface. Solve technical problems.

Technical/Functional:-

  1. Good experience on Ericsson OSS RC nodes- SDP, AIR, CCN, VS, IVR, EMM, EMA, MINSAT, ECMS, CRS, Storages.
  2. Overall System Administration of Ericsson OSS-RC (Sun Solaris).
  3. Hands-on Experience on EMS and NMS system and aware of Daily health checks of servers.
  4. Integration of Radio & Core Network Nodes with OSS.
  5. End to end troubleshooting for the issues related to OSS Platform, Fault Management, User Management, Software/Hardware Management, STS Management, and OSS applications i.e. C.N.A., OPS, CHA, ARNE, RNO, SMO, BSM, PDM,MIA, SMIA, PM JOB creation tool and Element Manager.
  6. Integration of Radio & Core Network Nodes with OSS.
  7. Perform release upgrades on live OSS Servers and roll-out.
  8. Trouble Ticket /Change Request handling as per SLA/WLA.
  9. Customer Service Requests (CSR) review (Analysis, Troubleshooting, and Corrective Maintenance) for the complex faults.
  10. To handle emergencies and on-call support (24X7).
  11. Knowledge in OS like Sun Solaris, Suse Linux and Data Base like Sybase, Ingres data base

    3. 24X7 availability for team and client & Flexibility to work in any time zone/shifts/nights.

  4. Automate routine tasks to achieve operations efficiency.
